Left to rust in the jungles of Hawaii after a major front-end collision, this BMW is once again ready to stretch its 1,990-cc engine. Modern enough to serve as a comfortable daily driver, the 2002 is just as at home cruising the highway.
Now painted in the original shade of Inka Orange the BMW 2002 is ready for reassembly.
It seems like everything in the shop is sitting in bare metal at the moment. Behind the 1972 BMW 2002 you can see the 1972 Alfa Romeo GT Veloce and 1968 Ford Mustang also in the same state.
This shortened design of BMW’s New Class Sedans has become a cult classic and is still as well regarded as when it was released. This example has sat dormant in the state of Hawaii until it was brought to mainland and is now starting a restoration.
