Now resprayed in 1955 Thunderbird Blue, this car is ready for chassis restoration before the new little owner takes their first drive.

For some cars it is cheaper to swap a new transmission than to rebuild the old one. In this Beetle you can quickly drop the engine, disconnect the axles and swap transmissions in a couple hours.

Designed in conjunction with Ford’s design team these six volt electric cars were created to help bring in families to the Ford dealerships to test drive Ford’s new Thunderbird.

All of the body panels are now mounted back onto the Signal Red 1960 Triumph TR3A and we can glimpse of the finished product.

After: 1963 Daimler 2.5 V8. This car was brought to us with no engine, no working steering, or brakes. Without a Daimler engine the decision was made to drop a Ford V8 in it and now completed this thing really moves. The steering, transmission linkage, and motor mounts were some of the things we needed to engineer for this build.
